Welcome to My Blog

This is a blog of my trip around Australia by motorbike. I'll endeavour to keep this updated on a regular basis, but there will be days when I'll have no access to the web. So follow my progress, see some pictures and hopefully share my adventure.

Day 51 – Sun, 29 Aug at Port Hedland

Today was a nothing day – made myself some bacon and eggs, did some reading, had a walk and watched a little TV. Yep a real veg out day. I didn’t even take a photo, but I did have a couple of phone calls with Robyn.

I am ready to get back on the road, real itchy feet. So tomorrow I hope to get the new tyres fitted and be back on the road. So I trust you all had a lazy day as well, remember Sunday was the day of rest. See you out there.

  1. Rest! Not a chance dad. Moved furniture, painted, pulled down curtains, packed boxes, ripped up the living room floor, the list goes on. You would have loved our ingenuity though. We couldn't get our bedhead into our bedroom - too long - so we had to send it out Benjamin's bedroom window onto the downstairs roof and then back in our window. Any neighbours watching must have thought we'd gone mad. Don't worry though, we're saving all the downstairs painting for when you get back, just so you don't feel left out.

  2. Oh mine was tough Dad. it consisted of sleeping till about 10ish, saying goodbye to Dave who went to see the Tigers beat the Storm at Leichardt. a small amount of cleaning and playing with puppy, then to the couch where i watched a classic Katie movie - Dirty Dancing, then some lunch a little more playing with puppy, then back to the couch and watched "Taken" with Liam Nieson. then took puppy to the dog park - where i sat and watched her run around for an hour - was pretty tough... then home to the couch (oh i did cook dinner) to watch the Aussies beat NZ in the 1st netball test before the comm games.

  3. Hmmmm me thinks that one little sister might have some time on her hands to come and unpack boxes on the weekend! Definitely sounds that way.

  4. uuuuummmmm - oh did I say a relaxing day. I meant a stressful extremely busy Sunday. So much so that I don't think I actually got it all done. It has unfortunately carried over to this weekend. So I'm really sorry to have to turn you down Kell, you know that I would just about jump through hoops to help out my big sis but I just can't see how I can this weekend.

If I get a free hour or so I will be sure to give you a call.

Love your ever caring and happy to help little sis.

    PS - Hi dad!!! xx
